Tested out the new SporaSub Instinct mask.

Good fit and easy to adjust size. I did put antifog on before the dive but one side fogged up and I ended up switch back to my trusty amber lenses Riffe mask that never seems to fog up. Only thing I hate more than dirty water is a foggy mask!!

Ran into more Awa's. They can scare the crap out of you as their tail looks like a shark in the distannt murky water.

One of our Boyz (Pastor) decided to take hunting out of the ocean and dispatched a 100lb+ Wild Pig. Pastor you ar raising the bar........very nice... I like the bloody rambo knife kill.

Here are two pictures of Pohaku with two different takos. The smaller one was his first (and only) tako catch.

Bigger one- out on South Side. Saw this huge blob cruising in the open ocean 3-4 feet off the ground, about 100 feet away in 40 feet of water. Went down, he blended into the ground like a big rock and I shot him in the head with my three prong. Didn't kill him and then he got pissed! Had to bite him about 3-4 times to get him to slow down. Then put him on my kui and about 5 minutes later, the Ninja was pulling up his (slightly smaller no matter what he states) hahahahaha

The Mask is back home!!

Well after a month of chasing Awa's in Kihei I have brought the "Best Catch" Mask home where it belongs. Sepsis did enjoy a good amount of time in the spot light with his 28lb Ulua and I was stoked for him but the Boyz need to keep pushing the bar higher. I will enjoy keeping the coveted mask for now but I know it won't last long.....

Well Boyz......

Where do I begin.....a epic day at our secret spot "The Fish Factory"(Don't ask where). It was my self , Cool Hand Luke some of his friends and a new addition to the MSB crew getting his feet wet (now known as Music Man). Cool Hand Luke (CHL) and I were swimming over to a known Ulua hole taking our time when CHL points off in the distance and I turn and see a good size Ulua free swimming on the sea floor straight toward us!! CHL and I were on top of a large pinnacle and bolth of us dropped about 20ft as the Ulua cruised under the the ledge directly underneath us. CHL goes left and I swing right. The Ulua pops out right underneath me and I am lined up for a sweet shot. I take a few kicks and pull the trigger...hit him just behind his head and he takes off and almost rips the gun out of my hand. CHL was there with a sweet back up shot and we bagged a 51lb Ulua just 45min into the dive. Check out the video....a bit foggy but cool.

Lifesaver nailed a 7lb Uku he brought in by chumming a fat Roi out at about 60ft. I also lucked out again and scored a 8lb Uku.

Sooo the passing of the coveted Fish Bowl mask will Happen this weekend at Sepsis Cabin after our dive on Saturday....unless by some miracle one of the Boyz hauls in a better catch during our trip. You never know....

Thanks again CHL for the boat ride.

Few weeks ago Sepsis, Cool Hand Luke, and Lifesaver nailed some solid fish. Well Sepsis at least tried too........Nice catch Boyz..........

Tomorrow we are back in the water, I will post video and pics when we get back. Also have a new potential member going with us. We will see if he makes the cut.......More to follow
